Returns & Refunds
Returns, cancellations, warranty and complaints.
Returns & Refunds
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. All returns require prior authorisation (RMA) — parcels sent without an RMA number are refused. Returns are subject to a 30% restocking fee, which covers inspection, repackaging and supplier restocking costs, and is deducted from your refund. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of us receiving and inspecting the goods. A restocking fee is charged if orders are cancelled/returned after their status is confirmed and entered logistics; if the order is unconfirmed, no restocking fee is charged.
What We Do Not Accept Back
The following are excluded from return. This list applies to all customers.
- Parts that have been installed, fitted, used, or modified.
- Electrical and electronic parts — control units (ECUs), mechatronics, sensors, instrument clusters, ignition components, and any part containing an electronic control unit, circuit board or chip — once fitted, connected to a vehicle, charged, or removed from their sealed packaging. Such parts cannot be resold as new and carry a full loss of value.
- Parts cut, coded or programmed to a specific vehicle (keys, remote fobs, ECUs, mechatronics, clusters coded to a VIN). These are produced for your vehicle only, cannot be cancelled once ordered, and cannot be returned after delivery.
- Lithium batteries, and any product containing a lithium battery (battery packs, key fobs, certain modules). Lithium cells are Class 9 dangerous goods and a fire hazard once handled; they are prohibited from the postal and standard courier network and we do not accept them back under any circumstances. If a lithium-battery item arrives faulty, do not ship it back — contact us and we will resolve it without a return.
- Conventional (lead-acid) batteries once fitted, charged or filled — classed as dangerous goods and not transportable by post or standard courier.
- Software, navigation media (SD cards, DVDs), licence activations, and any sealed item once the seal is broken.
- Oils, coolants, refrigerants, and other fluids or chemicals once opened or dispensed into a vehicle.
- Custom-manufactured or made-to-specification items.
- Perishable and consumable items.
Cancelling an Order
An order is confirmed when we send the order confirmation email. Because we source parts to order, confirmation is the moment the part is ordered from our supplier network.
- Before confirmation: cancel any time, free of charge, full refund.
- After confirmation (consumers): a 30% cancellation fee applies — the part has entered the supplier logistics chain and we incur restocking and return-freight costs to recall it. If you are an EU/EEA consumer, no fee is charged where you exercise your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal; where a confirmed part can no longer be recalled from the carrier we may complete the delivery and you may return it under the withdrawal process, paying return shipping.
- After confirmation (business customers): a 50% cancellation fee applies.
- VIN-coded and custom-manufactured parts cannot be cancelled after confirmation by any customer.
- Orders cancelled by us (unavailability, pricing errors, suspected fraud) are always refunded in full.
Business Customers
Orders placed in the name of a company, with a VAT or business registration number, or otherwise for business purposes, are business orders. For business customers:
- We do not accept change-of-mind returns. Goods delivered correctly, on time and without defects are not returnable.
- Cancellation of a confirmed order is subject to a 50% cancellation fee, plus reimbursement of any costs we have already incurred.
- The warranty period is 12 months from delivery.
- Defects must be notified to us within 48 hours of discovery, and in the case of visible transport damage, noted with the carrier at delivery.
- Warranty claims require proof of professional installation by a qualified workshop (invoice or installation certificate). Claims for parts installed otherwise are excluded.
- Claim handling costs are not reimbursed.
International Returns
Cross-border returns must be declared as returned goods on the customs paperwork. You are responsible for completing the export and return declarations correctly. If the paperwork is missing or incorrect and we are required to engage a customs broker to clear the return, a €30 customs handling fee is deducted from your refund, together with any import duties or taxes charged to us because of the incorrect declaration. Returns caused by our error or a defect are exempt.
Seller’s Liability for Defects
We are responsible for the goods being free from defects at the time of delivery: they correspond to the agreed description and quantity, are fit for their normal purpose, and are free from third-party rights. Wear parts are warranted against manufacturing defects, not against normal wear. Differences between colour shades on screen and in reality are not a defect. Used and remanufactured parts are warranted to the condition described in the listing; defects corresponding to the described level of wear are not covered.
For consumers, the statutory warranty period is 24 months from delivery. For business customers, the warranty period is 12 months.
Rights Arising from Defective Performance
If the goods are defective on delivery or a defect covered by warranty appears, you may request, in this order: (1) repair of the part or delivery of the missing piece; (2) replacement, where repair is not possible or proportionate; (3) a price reduction or refund, where neither repair nor replacement is possible, where the same defect recurs after repair, or where we fail to resolve the claim within 30 days. Defective and incorrectly supplied items are always returned at our cost, with no restocking fee.
When Defect Claims Cannot Be Exercised
Warranty and defect claims do not apply where:
- the defect was caused by incorrect, unprofessional or improper installation, or by use contrary to the manufacturer’s specification;
- the part was not checked for compatibility before installation — before fitting, compare the part with the one removed from your vehicle (connections, mounting points, markings); fitting a visibly different part is at your risk;
- the part has been modified, opened or repaired by third parties;
- the damage results from normal wear and tear (including reduction in battery capacity through use), accident, contamination, or a pre-existing fault of the vehicle (a new part destroyed by the same underlying fault that killed the old one is not a defect of the part);
- the defect was known to you at purchase, or the goods were discounted because of it;
- the warranty period has expired.
Complaint Procedure
- Notify us at support@wwspares.com without undue delay after discovering the defect, with your order number, a description of the defect and how it manifests itself, and clear photographs of the part, its markings, and the damage. For electrical parts, include the diagnostic fault codes read from the vehicle.
- Do not ship anything until you receive our instructions and an RMA number. Unauthorised and cash-on-delivery shipments are refused.
- Where we request the part back for assessment, pack it securely; for warranty claims include the proof of purchase and, where applicable, the installation invoice.
- We decide on complaints without undue delay, in complex cases requiring technical assessment within 30 days.
- If the complaint is justified, we repair, replace or refund as set out above, including your reasonable return carriage costs. If the complaint is rejected, we return the part to you and provide the reasons.
Right of Withdrawal (Consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason; no restocking fee applies to a withdrawal exercised within that period, and this section explains how it works. The 30% restocking fee applies to all other returns: returns after day 14 and returns by business customers where accepted by us. For orders delivered outside Europe we do not accept change-of-mind returns or cancellations after dispatch; defective or incorrectly supplied items are always covered, wherever you are.
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you may withdraw from this contract within 14 days of the day you (or a person you nominate, other than the carrier) receive the goods, without giving a reason. To withdraw, send us an unambiguous statement (email to support@wwspares.com or post) before the period expires; you may use the model form below but are not obliged to. We will refund all payments received including standard delivery (the least expensive option we offer — if you chose a faster delivery method, the difference is not refunded), within 14 days of receiving the goods back or proof of their return dispatch, using your original payment method. You must send the goods back within 14 days of your withdrawal, at your own cost. Parts that cannot be returned by post because of size, weight or dangerous-goods classification must be returned by appropriate freight or certified dangerous-goods carriage at your cost; as a guide, such carriage typically costs at least as much as the outbound delivery charge for the item, and for dangerous goods considerably more.
You are liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. For car parts this means: you may unpack and visually inspect a part as you would in a shop, but a part that has been installed, connected, charged, coded or run cannot be resold as new and the compensation we deduct will normally equal up to the full price paid. The right of withdrawal does not exist for: parts cut, coded or programmed to your vehicle; custom-manufactured items; sealed software or navigation media once unsealed; and fluids once dispensed or mixed.
